Less substance, more filler.

Video Games and Shootings

April 19th, 2007 Posted in News, Rants

Once again, a tragedy has struck our country in the form of someone killing 32 people at Virginia Tech. And, as is custom in this country, it was met with… a media extravaganza!

As with most shootings, Jack Thompson and friends (this time in the form of Dr. Phil) stepped forward and said basically that the kid was driven to do this because he played violent video games. Of course.

So who’s getting sued this time? Well lets peruse the search warrant to see which games he was playing to prepare for his little blood bath. Lets see… digital camera, books, Dremel tool…. where are the video games? Well hell, he didn’t have any!

Thats right, he didn’t have any video games in his possession. So there you have it, one of the most horrific shootings in history, NO link to video games.

I think we need to focus on what is causing all this violence in our country, and stop looking for people to sue.
