Less substance, more filler.

The Divorce

March 24th, 2007 Posted in Rants

I’ve come to realize that I really don’t like CDs anymore. Not the music, just the medium itself.

I went through the masses of CDs I have in my car because I’m starting to get tired of the same CDs over and over again, plus I have some new ones that I want to burn. But there are so many of them, some of which I have no idea what is actually on it (most of my CDs just have dates on the label, and CDs that have actual albums also have random songs after them… I like filling up CDs.)

My car doesn’t play MP3 CDs and even if it did, most of my songs are from iTunes. I have a car adapter for my iPod, the only problem with that is whenever I get in the car I’d have to plug it in and tune the station… which wouldn’t be so bad if my trip to work wasn’t 10 minutes.

Apple seriously needs to make an iCar… just a big hard drive you stick in the dash… that would be sweet. Until then, I guess I’m going to be struggling with my iPod because I think the relationship between me and my CDs is over.

Cars just need to have a docking station somewhere in the dash so that you can plop it down and then never have to use a cd again. No messy wires or FM transmitters, either. It sounds so simple, doesn’t it?
