Windows on a Mac? Say it isn’t so!

September 24th, 2006 Posted in Personal News, Technology

Yes, I have had my iMac about 2 weeks and not only do I already have Windows installed on it, I’m about to install a second copy as well.

I have good reason though. The first copy of Windows is installed using the Parallels Virtual Machine. This allows me to switch over and use Visual Studio without having to reboot.

But my desire to have a certain game, Dreamfall, brought me to where I am right now… getting ready to use Bootcamp in order to play PC games.

Running Windows, however, lets me appreciate my Mac even more. The way I work in Mac OS makes so much more sense than the way I’m forced to work in Windows. I just wish it played more GAMES. (although I can run the Quake 4 demo while Excel, iTunes, Firefox, and GIMP all run in the background without a hitch.)

You’re wrong. There is never a good reason to install Windows on a Mac.
