Less substance, more filler.

Apple WWDC on Monday… let the rumors flow!

August 5th, 2006 Posted in Rants, Technology

It’s that time of year again… time for you to not believe a single thing you read on the web! No, not April Fools day. I’m talking about the weekend before an Apple keynote event!

Let’s see what we have here so far…

Interview with Apple Employee
A candid interview with an Apple employee reveals some secrets about the upcoming event. Cinema displays with iSights! Blu-ray! No iPhone! Basically reveals a whole lot of NOTHING! And then? Suddenly the phone call is disconnected and he can’t ever reach her again!

Bullshit. “Oh noes! I didn’t even get to ask her the juicy stuff!” I call FAKE!

NEXT!

Exclusive leopard feature set leaked!
Oooh. With screen captures! See, now this is what I’m talking about. Anyone could type a lame-ass interview. But screen captures! Sure, I could do all this stuff with Photoshop (if I had it) or MS Paint (if I had an infinite amount of patience) but it sure beats just talking about it, right?

iChat 4.0
Different layout, quite hard to explain, but better

Wait, why explain? You took screen captures of EVERYTHING ELSE… right?

FAKE!

NEXT!

A MOVIE of the new iPhone!
Ah, even BETTER than screen captures. Can’t fake that! And another movie shows that it’s as light as a piece of paper!

FAKE!

I’m waiting for someone to take a picture in an elevator of an Apple Media Center. At least that requires leaving the house!
