The Dangers of Ambien!

I was watching CBS news tonight, and they reminded me why I really hate watching the news. They had a report on the dangers of Ambien! Apparently some people have been taking Ambien and falling asleep at the wheel! Others face short term insomnia! And others are starting to act really crazy after taking Ambien while drinking booze on airlines!

A new report suggests the prescription sleep aid Ambien is being linked to an increasing number of traffic arrests – sometimes involving drivers who don’t even remember getting into their cars! Correspondent Trish Regan brings us the bizarre details.

Ok, so first lets look at the falling asleep at the wheel thing… Ambien is a sleeping pill. It makes people sleep. Duh! Is that really a bizarre detail?

Secondly, one of Ambien’s reported side effects is short term insomnia.

Third, everyone knows NOT to take sleeping pills with alcohol! It says it on the friggin’ pill bottle in big letters. They mentioned at the end of the report that in all instances reported that the people taking Ambien were also either taking other drugs and/or alcohol. So why even do a report on it??

In other news, if you point a loaded gun at your head and pull the trigger…….. YOU MIGHT DIE!

Anyway, if Correspondent Trish Regan is reading this, she might want to do some research before she wastes 5 minutes of America’s time.
