Converting Records to CDs
February 7th, 2006 Posted in TechnologyI know you can bring in video tapes to certain places and get them put on a DVD, but I was wondering if anyone knew of a place to bring old 78″s in to get transferred onto a CD. Like bringing the record in, not shipping it somewhere.
Anyone?

There are lots of do it yourself tips out there.

If you have lots, it would be cheaper to do it yourself then to pay someone the money. I have asked around and found it to be around 10 dollars an album.

If you’re not too snooty about quality you can still find some stereos floating around with a record play integrated into it. Just verify it has an audio out on it. Feed that in to your DVD/CD recording source.
