Man hopes to one day trade a paperclip for a house

November 9th, 2005 Posted in Neat web links, Technology

I stumbled across this interesting blog this morning. This man hopes to aquire a house only by bartering. And he started with a red paperclip. I’d say it sounds lame, but he already has a gas powered generator. Hey, I have a silver paperclip right here, anyone want to give me an iPod?

Plenty of other countries in the world bargain for prices or barter, so I don’t think it’s such a strange idea. I’d love it if we could barter for goods and services, rather than having to work our asses off to get the money to pay for the things we want.
