The Times They Are A-Changin’

When my brother and I were little, we use to play with Legos all the time. I think the all time greatest toy has to be Legos. The ability to create anything with a very small learning curve.

Of course Lego bricks aren’t what they use to be, most sets I see in the stores these days have huge pieces, probably because they’re harder to swallow. Sets in my day had small pieces which meant you could use them for just about anything.

Today I found this link. Apparently there is a group of open source developers writing Lego CAD software. I do believe this is the coolest thing I’ve seen in a long time. Haven’t had a chance to actually play with it yet, I’ll compile it tonight and tinker with it. But if they still have this by the time I have kids, they’ll be playing with it!
